About
Solar was a quiet builder that believed in standing by her beliefs. She cared about her people so she did her best to step up in leadership when needed. She wanted to live in peace and make sure everyone had fun.
History
It all started when Solar joined on Day 1 and saw a bunch of people like her. She went towards them, they crafted some boats and headed down the river. They picked up people along the way and ended up on a small piece of land in the ocean, near a mangrove jungle. There Solar started working towards levelling up builder, and started building up the walls. It was during this time that Stormy_Coal, the blacksmith, asked her if she wanted to be part of the Council. She said yes. The Council included Stormy as well as Deep_Ice, farmer, and Frozen_Fire, healer. Eventually Bright_Bungle, main hunter, also joined. Solar also was the one who suggested the name “Archipelago”, Stormy liked it and modified it a little, landing on ARCSOV, Archipelago Sovereign.
Over time Solar ended up as the only builder. While it wasn’t ideal she could work with it. During what could be arguably said as the first Council meeting she asked the other members to trust her with the base and to lend her creative liberty, as to which they agreed. Things went well for a while. She built a sheep island as they needed food and beds, and then Deep asked for a restaurant. There she added a stage for the civ’s bard and the restaurant became one of the main places where meetings were held. Everything was good for a while. They traded with other civs and the hunters came home with a netherite template that was stored away safely in Solar’s shulker box, and after a while a nether star also came into the picture. Stormy ended up handing Solar 21 blocks of iron to also put in the shulker box for the future beacon.
That is until external conflict washed up on Archipelago’s shores. A couple of people from Clay Coast were being chased by a few members of The Warrior Clan. The warriors claimed that the Claycoasters had stolen something and had proof, while the Claycoasters claimed that wasn’t true and also had proof. At some point the warriors left and the two alleged thieves asked to talk to the council. There they proposed a defence treaty between Clay Coast and ARCSOV. Solar, Stormy and another healer, Polar_Phoenix, were the ones that debated the offer. Polar wanted ARCSOV to accept, while Solar wanted to stay out of it since to her it seemed like a simple misunderstanding that had nothing to do with them, and Stormy seemed undecided. In the end Stormy had the final word and chose not to agree to the treaty since there was no way of knowing who said the truth and we didn’t want to pick a side to then be wrong. Then, some time after the Claycoasters left one of the warrior’s passed by and warned us that an invisible person tried to kill him with a netherite sword between the waters of Lemonglade and ARCSOV.
Things calmed down once again and Solar went to have a private conversation with Stormy at the tree farm about some concerns she had. Despite the Council being equal in power, most people would go to Stormy to air out their problems since as the main blacksmith she was a central part of the civ, and she also was the most vocal at certain times. During this conversation Bright also showed up and Stormy ended up confessing she was overwhelmed as main blacksmith and also had no idea about leading a civ. Both Bright and Solar decided that to help relieve her of some of the stress there would be some leadership changes.
It was decided that Bright would be the new main representative of Archipelago for external politics and would take a more diplomatic role, while Solar was second in command and would take over in case Bright wasn’t available since Solar was always home. For internal affairs the council would still be the same. There was a meeting at the restaurant where Bright broke the news and declared herself the Sovereign of the Archipelago Sovereign. There she offered to use her personal banner as the civ banner, and everyone accepted.
During this whole time Solar kept building. She made a lighthouse and got the idea of having the beacon beam go through the lighthouse. She also noticed the civ only needed a nautilus shell and a heart of the sea to be able to craft a conduit that could be very useful in their case. Eventually some people of Clay Coast showed up. They told Solar that the two thieves had been tried, found guilty and were kicked out of their civ, and that the Queen Bubbly_Flood wanted to make sure there were no hard feelings between ARCSOV and Clay Coast. Solar reassured them it was fine and warned them about the invisible terrorists. She suggested they could be the two thieves retaliating against everyone, but it was pure speculation.
Solar started work on her last main project, the Turtle Inn. In the meantime a heart of the sea made its way over their dump chest. Solar put the new conduit underneath their sheep island, in the middle of their archipelago, and reinforced it with obsidian shards. She also had been working with a miner to make a room under the lighthouse to put the beacon in.
Then, Stormy showed up. She had been gone for a while. She asked to speak with Bright and another member of the civ in private. Solar was confused but knew she had to wait to know what was happening. When they came back Bright and the other member swiftly left. Stormy then asked to speak to Solar. Everyone in the civ seemed confused, Solar knew it was serious.
Stormy then told Solar the truth, the invisible person attacking others and stealing was Bright. Stormy had known for a while, but now Bright was being suspected of, and that another member of ARCSOV knew and helped her. Bright had gone to Delta to defend her innocence. Solar knew right away that she had to stand by her beliefs, and that she wouldn’t tolerate a terrorist in her civ. They decided to have a civ wide meeting once Bright came back, which happened sooner than they had expected.
Solar and Stormy confronted her. Solar made it clear that she couldn’t have Bright in ARCSOV anymore but wanted to hear the rest's opinions on the matter and that she would respect their final decision. Bright confessed and said she had stolen the heart of the sea, a bow, the 21 blocks of iron and a few experience scrolls. Solar and Stormy made it clear ARCSOV never needed any of this, as they were one if not the most technologically advanced civ for quite a while. And by doing this we were just hurting other civs that were also trying to work hard. Solar said she didn’t care about status, she didn’t care about her diamond armor and that she could be going around with no armor as long as they stuck together and had fun, that’s what mattered to her. In the end, Solar decided that all the stolen things would be returned as much as it hurt. She broke the conduit and took the iron blocks. She decided to return them at the party Delta would be hosting soon, where all civs would be reunited. Bright had asked not to say anything or make a decision yet, to wait for the party. Solar agreed just because not everyone had been present during the meeting and she wanted to take their opinions into consideration as well.
But before that could happen, Bright got caught. Solar had been a bit isolated, working in the resort off to the side. She returned to HQ and was met with commotion. Polar and Bright were arguing, Bright had no armor, and despite not receiving any explanation Solar deduced Bright had been caught and killed. Once things calmed down Solar was told that Bright had tried going invisible again, but was caught and killed by Manic_Cat, a representative of The Warrior Clan. Whatever her plans for the party were, they were now spoiled since the news of her wrongdoings would spread like fire. Solar instantly kicked her out. She made it clear to everyone that Bright had taken advantage of the little bit of grace they had given her and that she wouldn’t be welcomed here anymore, and to not give her anything at all. They took down the flags she had placed and brought back the original plan for the civ banner, have a banner contest.
The day of the party arrived and the whole civ went there. It was Solar’s first time ever leaving her civ. Delta was beautiful and grand, and so was The Warrior Clan, which they passed on the way to Delta. Solar_Ash, Delta’s rep, stood atop the big fountain in the middle of the civ, there they spoke a few words and asked one by one for the reps of each civ to come up and give a little speech. When it was Solar’s turn, she mentioned she hadn’t been the main rep for long because of inner conflicts in her civ but she was happy that despite everything everyone had stuck together. She also said she wanted to speak with reps from Lemonglade and Warrior Clan privately later.
After all the reps spoke, Bright came up. She had been standing off to the side, naked. She confessed to everything, but she made it clear that some things were not done by her and that it was done by other people. Solar made a few comments along her speech in chat, making sure everyone knew everything stolen would be returned to their respective owners by Solar herself. After the speeches were done and people partied, that’s what she did. She gave the iron blocks to The Warrior Clan, and Stormy gave them the exp scrolls, and then conduit was given to Lemonglade.
Solar decided to go back home early, having to make a pit stop at The Warrior Clan to wait out the night. She organized the banner contest and added a small beacon beneath the lighthouse, which had been gifted to her by a visitor. Afterwards she spent her last days at home, finishing the last details of the base, raising her happy ghast and chatting with her friends.
